Car Charger Testing

The new energy electric vehicle and charging post market in Melbourne, Australia is experiencing significant growth and change. Sales of electric vehicles have continued to climb in recent years, a growth trend that reflects not only increased consumer demand for environmentally friendly and efficient transportation, but also government policy support and the availability of more electric models on the market. As the market for electric vehicles expands, the development of charging infrastructure is also accelerating. Melbourne has seen a significant increase in the number of charging posts and a wider distribution of public and private charging stations to meet the needs of the growing number of EV users. Along with this comes the issue of charging, and chargers for new energy vehicles in Australia are often required to meet stringent safety and performance standards, including electrical safety tests, durability tests and environmental adaptability tests. Specific requirements may vary from state to state, but typically involve multiple testing phases to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the charger under a variety of conditions. These standards ensure that the charger does not pose a danger to the user and the device when in use, while at the same time performing to meet the demands of high efficiency and fast charging.Gochargex's charger tests, on the other hand, amounted to a full 14 tests, which tests did it go through, so let me give you a rundown of them all:
1.Water-proof testing. With waterproof seal design and meet lP55/lP65 standards. Can be used even in raining and snowing weather.

2.Vehicle run over testing.Test each charging cable for impedance resistance, high voltage,open/short.

3.Burn-inaging testing.High-voltage real usage testing for 6 hours for each charger.

4.ATE platform.Systematic testing for over/under voltage, Over/under current,CC/CP communication,RCD,leakage protect,grounding.

5.Temperature rise testing. Terminal temperature rise: <50K.

6.Comprehensive testing. Test each charging cable for impedance resistance, highvoltage, open/short.

7.Automatic plug testing. Mechanical life:no load plug in/pull out>10000 times.

8.Tension testing.Coupled insertion force:>45N<80N.

9.Salt Spray Chamber.Mainly test the metal surface corrosion performance of
connector.

10.Air-Leakage Detector.Test waterproof effect of the products.

11.Wire Bending Testing Machine. The swing parts move left and right at an angle of 90° ;cyclic bending to test the bending resistance of the jack and conductor of the cable.

12.Glow Wire Tester.Test the stability of electrical products, parts at high temperatures can not ignite or ignite other parts.

13.Constant Temperature & Humidity Box.Simulated outdoor environment: high temperaturelow temperature and humidity staggered cycletest to verify the service life of the product indifferent environments.

14.Tracking Test Apparatus.Detect the failure of the insulating material itself ortheinsulating function caused by the conductivesubstances deposited on the surface.

Going through so much testing just to meet the needs of the ever-changing electric vehicle market, we continue to innovate and create products that fit different customer groups, offer a wide range of chargers, extension cords, and adapters to easily achieve charging compatibility between different regions and different models of electric vehicles, overcome and solve a variety of challenging problems, and provide the widest range of portable mobile electric vehicle chargers to create a world of fast charging anytime, anywhere.
